News: Top Drawer Autumn Trend Feature

We’ve just returned from London’s Top Drawer show at Olympia Exhibition Centre, where after weeks of hard work and a lot of organisation, we finally saw our trend features for Autumn/Winter 2011/12 and Spring/Summer 2012, come to life! This is our second time working with the fantastic team over at Clarion Events to help us showcase our seasonal trends and promote some of the great businesses exhibiting at the show.

Once again, in addition to the trend features, we also created free mini trend guides for attendees to take away with them and to help them navigate the show whilst keeping in mind the trends for the upcoming seasons. Trend Bible’s Senior Trend Editor, Jill Hawkins, also delivered  two seminars over the course of the show covering more in-depth reviews of the trends and what to expect for late 2011 going into 2012.

A huge thank you to goes out to the the Clarion Events team, exhibitors who kindly loaned us their products for our trend features and our wonderful army of stylists!

If you couldn’t make it to the show, here’s a quick look at our trend features…

Autumn/Winter 2011/12 – Utilitarian

For the Utilitarian trend feature, we simply displayed products on uniformed wooden boxes to enhance the paired down feel and utility styling of this trend.

Autum/Winter 2011/12 –  Crafty Christmas

Crafty Christmas showcased the best in seasonal decoration from the show, against a back drop of white trees lovingly sourced by our trend editor Jill Hawkins.

Spring/Summer 2012 – British Street Party

For 2012, there is a continued focus on all things British with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the London Olympics. For our British Street Party feature, we collaborated with some fantastic companies to create a real street scene. A huge thanks goes to Mark and the team at Wallpaper Murals  who created the bespoke street scene wallpapers for the feature, Pipii for supplying us with the stripey straws and Union Jack bunting, Just Wipe for our rose oil cloth and the team at Granger Hertzog for the trestle tables and chairs.

Spring/Summer 2012 – Midnight Garden

A big thanks to Quatropi Ltd who kindly loaned us their Hanging Garden Chair for the feature, SJ Guest for her exquisite soft furnishings, Artificial Plants for use of their artificial foliage and to Cole and Son who provided us with their Feather Fan wallpaper for our Midnight Garden Feature – they have a gorgeous new collection for Spring/Summer entitled Foundation consisting of ten designs which are influences by architectural building materials and reclaimed surfaces.
